GROWTH IN COMMUNICATION!
Hello! My name is Deema Attar, and I am a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist (CF-SLP) at Kalasho Education & Youth Services. My role as an SLP is to help children develop the necessary tools to advocate for themselves and communicate with others.
My favorite part of this profession is seeing the growth in my clients’ communication skills and the positive impact it has on their everyday lives. As a bilingual speaker, I value the importance of providing care that is culturally responsive and tailored to diverse client needs. In addition to utilizing child-led and play-based procedures in therapy, I also prioritize building connections with my clients and targeting goals that are most functional to their language development.
I have always been passionate about making a difference in the community, and I am excited to be part of an organization that not only provides services for young children and adolescents but also for families as a whole. I look forward to beginning this new chapter at Kalasho and contributing to a supportive and growing practice.
