Helping Individuals Recognize Their Strengths

Hi, my name is Lucine Markarian (she/her), and I am an LLMSW clinician passionate about supporting individuals through a compassionate, person-centered, and holistic approach to therapy. I believe healing begins when people feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted for who they are and not judged for where they are in their journey.

What drew me to the mental health field is the belief that every person deserves a space where they can slow down, process their experiences, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. I understand that mental health is deeply connected to our relationships, physical wellbeing, environment, culture, identity, and life experiences. Because of this, I approach therapy by looking at the whole person, not just the symptoms they may be experiencing.

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and grounding environment where clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves. My therapeutic style is compassionate and collaborative, while also gently encouraging growth, insight, and self-awareness. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” someone, it is about helping individuals recognize their strengths, process challenges, and build the tools they need to move toward healing and balance.

Whether someone is navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, family stress, grief, self-esteem challenges, or feeling stuck, I work to meet each individual where they are at emotionally and personally. Every person’s story is unique, and I believe therapy should be individualized to reflect their personal journey.

One of the most important parts of therapy to me is the therapeutic relationship itself. I believe meaningful change happens through trust, safety, connection, and feeling emotionally supported. My goal is to walk alongside clients in their healing journey while empowering them to better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting change in their lives.

Lucine's Bio:

Lucine Markarian is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and adults through a person-centered therapeutic approach. She believes therapy should feel like a safe and collaborative space where individuals are empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and goals without fear of judgment.

Lucine earned her degree in Social Work from University of Tennessee, Knoxville and has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, family stress, self-esteem concerns, grief, and life transitions. She values meeting individuals where they are emotionally while tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and strengths.

Using a compassionate and integrative approach, Lucine incorporates evidence-based practices while recognizing the importance of emotional, physical, relational, and environmental wellness in the healing process. She strives to help clients build self-awareness, resilience, confidence, and practical coping strategies that support long-term growth and well-being. She believes healing is not linear, and you do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Wherever you are in your journey, she is honored to walk alongside you and support you in creating a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and authentic.
